LoDril with telescopic kelly bar
The LoDril telescopic kelly bar drilling machines are attachments for mounting on excavators. They are the key to solve the most difficult drilling challenges.
- On slopes or uneven terrain.
- Under bridges and high tension lines.
- With long overhead (reach).
- Over and under obstackles.
- In rough terrain.
- All the way around (360 degrees) from one excavator position.
On Slopes or Uneven Terrain. As an excavator based attachment, the LoDril can work where no other drill rigs can go, whether it is on slopes, muddy flats or uneven terrain.
Under Powerlines, Bridges or Other Obstacles. The LoDril's low profile and telescopic kelly bars makes it possible to drill deep where headroom limitations prohibit high-masted equipment. It means that LoDril is perfect for working under low overhead obstackles or even inside buildings.
Reach Out or Reach Under. Reach over casings, retaining walls, barriers or other obstructions and put LoDril to work. The LoDril can drill anywhere in a 360 degree radius and reach over trenches or other obstackles. The LoDrill can effectively reach as fas as 5.5 m beyond the tracks.
Install the LoDril in your own Workshop. The LoDril can be installed at your own facility or with experienced fitters by yourself.
Engineered and Built to the Customer's Specification. The LoDril's are custom engineered to specifications and job conditions. It means tha they are built to efficiently handle the specific types of jobs and drilling conditions of the customer. Further, it will be built to fit the excavator the customer selects. The LoDril can be manufactured to fit most excavators from 12 to 50 tons.
LoDril Main Features
The LoDril machines are available in different sizes with different size rotary drive. Each size LoDril can be configured to suit individual demands concerning total height, housing length, number of kelly bar sections, length of kelly bars etc.

Renting machines
Dawson has two complete rigs available for renting - a DH18-31M (a LoDril DH18 with drilling depth 31 m mounted on a 323DL excavator) and a DH24-21M (a LoDril DH24 with Drilling Depth 21 m mounted on a Hitachi Zaxis 280 excavator).
