Sizes – Capacities
The shoes are available in three sizes:
- Safe working Load (SWL) 12 tonnes – Weight of shoe and bow shackle: 25 kg
- Safe working Load (SWL) 16 tonnes – Weight of shoe and bow shackle: 38,5 kg
- Safe working Load (SWL) 24 tonnes – Weight of shoe and bow shackle: 67,5 kg
Operation
The shoes should be used either in pairs on steel wire, rope or chain slings or with a spreader beam
The total lifting capacity with a shoe of the same size in each end of a pipe will be twice the shoe capacity of a single shoe provided the lift angle between the slings is at least 45 degrees AND the lifting slings are of the same length.
Applicable Lifting Equipment Regulations must always be adhered to.
